Youth Night at the YMCA -
Fri August 15th

Kids looking for something fun to do, should look no further than the YMCA!  Youth entering grades three through six are invited to the Hastings YMCA for music, games, food, open swim and more!  Cost is $3 for YMCA members and $5 for non-members.  Don’t forget money for the Snack Shack!  The fun starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m.  Call 651-480-8887 for more information.

Let’s Go Fly a Kite! - Sat August 16th

The sky’s the limit with this event!  The Solid Kite Flying Club as they show the art of kite flying from noon to 6 p.m. at Schaar’s Bluff, Spring Lake Park Reserve.  The event is free, and no registration is required.  It’s sure to be some highflying action!



Theater Offers Some Summer Fun – Wed and Thurs Mornings

Have you scene these movies?  Marcus Theaters is Hastings will be offering “Kids Rule” movies at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday mornings. All movies are “kid friendly” with G or PG ratings.  The $2.50 admission includes complimentary popcorn.  From Aug 6-7  “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl” is playing, and from Aug 13-14 “Space Chimps” will be featured.

Council Looking for Area Artists - Sat September 27th

Dust off those art supplies!  The Hastings Arts Council is seeking artists to participate in the Hastings Arts Crawl.  Local artists may give demonstrations, show and sell their art, either in their own studios or at another Hastings location.  Artists may apply by contacting Dick Graham at 437-8678 or dickgrah@yahoo.com
